A Muslim man, and he has a shop where he sells games for children, and has a car, and he writes well, is willing to God, but there are games in the form of souls, cars that graduate music, and games in the form of some people from polytheist cartons, understood that he does not continue to trade, but whether he should sell it, even at low prices; Because it has a big price? And to damage it, he got a big loss in his state, and maybe he would enter the debt?

Question:

There was a man converted to Islam, in the past he had a shop that sells children’s toys. In the shop there are cars and books that are not problematic-Insyaallah-, but there are also toys in the form of animate creatures, cars that make music, and toys in the form of cartoon characters containing shirk. Of course he did not continue trading it, but could he sell it, even at a low price; Because the price is expensive? If he destroyed it, then he would suffer great losses in his current financial condition, which might be able to make him in a debt.

If there is something that is cut from him so that there is no life appearing after being cut off that part, such as the chest or stomach, or his head is separated from his body, then this is not included in the prohibition, because it is no longer mentioned the statue (alieved creature) after that part disappears, so that the law is like being cut off. As for the part that is removed makes it still alive, as if the eyes, hands, or legs are removed, then it is still a forbidden statue.

Likewise, if from the beginning the manufacture has become a headless body, or headless head, or head but his whole body is not a living body, so it is not included in this prohibition, because it is no longer a statue of living things. After the Al-Mughni collection (7/216). As for selling it for adults to play, it is impossible to have a complete statue.

2- Not allowed to sell what includes music, for the sanctity of hearing music. See: Answer Question Number: (555).

3- Not allowed to sell games in the form of some polytheistic cartons; Because this is Denier who must be destroyed, not sold.

The exit is what is forbidden to sell it: return it to the first seller, because Muharram’s sales are not true, if possible, even if left unchecked, then that is good.

And because the dismissal was canceled due to old sales, and eliminated its effects, and it was not new sales, for many scholars, or most of them.

If not; It is not allowed to sell the forbidden except with the destruction of the forbidden body, and anyone who leaves something to God, may God repay it better than him.

  1. Not allowed to sell toys in the form of cartoon characters that contain shirk, because this is a munkar that must be destroyed, not sold.

The solution to something that is forbidden for sale is to return it to the first seller, because the sale and purchase of illegal goods is illegitimate – if possible – even though by reducing some of the price. This is a good solution. In addition, due to the return of goods purchased and the cancellation of sales that have occurred and the consequences that apply are not a new sale and purchase agreement according to many scholars or most of them. If this is not the case, then it is not allowed to sell an illicit goods except by eliminating the side of its prohibition. Whoever leaves something because of God, surely he will replace it with something better. God who knows better.
